Controversial Businesswoman Joyce Akinyi Arrested in Nairobi with Sh3 Million Heroin

Controversial Kenyan businesswoman Joyce Akinyi has been arrested in Nairobi over alleged drug trafficking.
Ms. Akinyi was apprehended on Saturday morning alongside a Congolese man after police officers raided her house in Nairobi West.
Police said the two were found in possession of two kilograms of heroin worth about Sh3 million.
The two suspects are being detained at Muthaiga Police Station pending their arraignment in court on Monday.
This is the third time Ms. Akinyi has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking.
In 2015, she was arrested with a suspicious powder together with three other suspects. They were later released.
In 2013, Akinyi was apprehended alongside Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala at Isinya along Nairobi-Namanga highway over claims of drug trafficking.
In 2008, Akinyi and Wanjala were detained in India after authorities in the Asian country found them with undeclared Sh7.59 million. The two were released after intervention by Kenyan authorities.
Akinyi came into the limelight in 2009 after a fight broke out between her and Nigerian businessman Anthony Chinedu, who was married to her.
Chinedu was later deported over drug trafficking in June 2013 after a directive by the President.

I guess having been freed twice over drug charges emboldened her to continue with the drug trade, and continue bribing her way out and flaunt her illgotten cash. Do we have a three times strike? If not its time to introduce it.

She clearly has well connected ties within the government if she is arrested then released even in India. Jamani, corruption and greed among our leaders. Her kind ought to locked and keys thrown away...addiction is killing our young, whilst these lots bellies are extended with over indulgence! Where is the justice in this?
