Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga to be Arrested for Buying Family Members Flight Tickets Using Taxpayers Cash

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji has approved arrest and prosecution of Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga over alleged graft and embezzlement of taxpayers cash.
Rasanga is accused of using public money to purchase flight tickets for his family and friends over the past three financial years.
Citizen TV reports that the Governor, alongside other Siaya county government officials will be charged with abuse of office and unlawful acquisition of a benefit contrary to the law.
The second-time Governor is also facing prosecution over alleged irregular award of a contract for setting up of a pre-fabricated building at a cost of Sh22.5million at the Siaya county headquarters.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) says investigations established that Rasanga failed to follow public procurement laws in the award of the tender.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is currently out of the country on official business.

Kenyans started glorifying thieves long time back. Way back when Ushuru Chinatta was a small boy his father and mother were privatizing state wealth. Accumulating riches at the expense of Kenyans. The Kenyans were cheering them on.
