Kenyan Author Ken Walibora’s Mysterious Death Takes New Twist After Autopsy

The death of renowned Kenyan Swahili author Prof. Ken Walibora has taken a new twist after an autopsy revealed he had stab wounds.

It was previously reported that Walibora died at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after he was hit by a passenger bus while crossing a road in Nairobi CBD.

The ‘Siku Njema’ writer had been reported missing since Friday, April 10th before his body was found at KNH morgue on Wednesday, April 15th.

A postmortem examination carried out by Government Chief Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor revealed that Walibora had a deep cut between his thumb and index finger.

Oduor observed that the cut was not as a result of the motor vehicle accident. In addition, two teeth were missing and had a blood clot in his head.

“He had a cracked jaw on his right side, his right hand was broken and also he had a clot on his right side of the head, and he had lost two teeth all these are common with motor vehicle accident,” said Oduor.

“He had a wound cut caused by a sharp knife on the space between his thumb and the index finger which is not familiar with motor vehicle accidents,” he added.

Eyewitnesses told Citizen TV that Walibora was being chased after by a group of people and was knocked down by the bus in the process.

“Alikuja akikimbizwa na machokoraa akavuka ya kwanza ya pili akagongwa na gari,” a witness said.

He was rushed to the hospital in a Nairobi county government ambulance. Walibora did not receive any treatment at KNH for several hours, leading to his death, Citizen TV reported.

His car was found along Kijabe street, a 30-minute walking distance from Ladhies road, where he was hit by the vehicle.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ homicide unit has since taken over investigations into his mysterious death.

The phone calls will help in tracing his killers.
The person he was going to meet in down town would have been the first to report Ken's disappearance after he failed to meet him.
Ave never thought street Boys could run after someone in browd day right after robbing and stabbing.
Very sad.
It's my prayer that the truth will be revealed.
