Vodafone's CEO in Ghana Speaks about Replacing Ailing Safaricom Boss Bob Collymore

Yolanda Cuba, the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone in Ghana has dismissed claims that there is plan to have her replace ailing Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore following his extended sick leave.

In a statement on her Twitter handle, Cuba dismissed the reports widely circulated on Kenyan social media as mere fake news and wished Collymore a quick recovery.

“Fake news are not news. Bob Collymore, wishing you a speedy recovery so that you can get back to your job,” Cuba wrote on her Twitter handle.

At the same time, former Safaricom CEO and the current Kenya Airways Chairman Michael Joseph also termed the clams as ill-informed.

“I have just visited Bob Collymore and he has not resigned and is doing fine under the circumstances,” he said.

In October, the mobile service provider firm announced that Collymore had taken a leave to seek specialized treatment "for a number of months". The telco company named Chief Financial Officer Sateesh Kamath to take Collymore's role in his absence.

If Bob Collymore is AILING, he Could be Headed the Samuel Kivuitu way (for ABEITING the Rigging out Raila in 2007). He died. So if Safaricom helped RIGGED the 8/8/17 Election, then Bob Collymore needs to Come Out and Condemn the RIGGING (for his Conscience aand Health Sake). For Raila is the ANOINTED of God: Do NOT Touch Him; do NOT Harm Him. Amen!!!

Give me that job. Collymore has had enough let him go home and enjoy the rest of his life. Quick recovery but leave the job so I may also earn some.
