11 Kenyan Women Believed to be Victims of Human Trafficking Rescued in Nairobi, 2 Foreigners Arrested

Two foreign nationals were on Sunday arrested in Nairobi in connection with human trafficking.

The two, identified as Thabit Hanni Yaseen Radman and Faren Yassin Radman, were arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.

During the operation, Pangani DCI officers acting on a tipoff from members of the public rescued 11 Kenyan women who had been locked in a single room at Ushirika Estate within Eastleigh.

The DCI said the women aged between 23 and 30 were being recruited for unspecified jobs in the Middle East.

“Upon interrogation, it was established that the foreigners were allegedly recruiting the young women for unspecified jobs in the middle east,” said the DCI in a statement.

The two suspects, whose nationalities were not revealed, are expected to be arraigned on Monday.
