Beer Tycoon Tabitha Karanja: Why I Am Vying for Nakuru Senatorial Seat

Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja has vowed to get rid of punitive business policies if she is elected to the Senate next year.
The 57-year-old beer tycoon announced her bid for the Nakuru senatorial seat in the 2022 general elections.
Tabitha told Sunday Nation that her senatorial bid is informed by her quest to change policies she terms as punitive to local investors and businesses.
“I have seen impunity in the form of taxation introduced in Parliament; and MPs pass those laws yet they do not understand a thing about them and how they will affect the people and businesses. They are just conveyor belts,” Tabitha said.
“I have to be there now to champion these laws to protect these businesses and wealth creation. You can only do that in the Senate. I want to be there to monitor on behalf of the people, what the governors are doing,” she added.
The businesswoman made it clear that she is not interested in dirty politics, adding that her campaigns will be sober and run corporately.
“My brand of politics will be about what I’m offering, and for that, you do not need to shout. If you are going to work, focus on it. You will not see me where others are shouting,” she stated.
“My campaign will be run corporately. I know somebody will ask if that can happen here in Kenya. Yes, it can, and I will be the first one to do it.”

Thug Mukami Muigai, the co-owner of Keroche has made it clear that she wants to join the useless senate to protect her family business interests. She wants an alternative protector to aging Raila who has been their tax evasion agent for years. But all the same I admire these great women who fight for seats instead of waiting for affirmative action or 2/3,1/3 gender rule,in this case women reps or nominated SABINA JOY/JEFF St/MODERN GREEN traders. To me the gender rule means having a VAGINA is a DISABILITY.

Only in KENYA this kind of stuff happens.
She has not been paying taxes, now to avoid all this, she turns to POLITICS.
Let's just think what will happen if elected.
Something else is, is she going to dance with RUTO or RAILA?
But,it won't matter based on the fact that both R and R are CORRUPT.

Kudos to her & all the women who will be entering the political arena in 2022.
More women running for Governorship, Senator, MP & MCA seats will be a breath of fresh air in the Kenya political arena.

More women elected doesn't mean much to majority women. Women are murdered and enslaved in Saudi and middle East but not one women rep or Parliamentarian raised a finger. Since 2010 more sex workers have hit the streets. It seems women reps are ex slay queens.

Pay your outstanding taxes first. If MPIGS,MCA’s and all other elected officials paid their fair share of taxes maybe Kenya would have universal care and patients would not have to be chained to their beds when they cannot pay the hospital bill.
