Businessman Jimi Wanjigi Claims Plot By Police to Raid His Homes, Plant Evidence

Business mogul Jimi Wanjigi now claims that there's a plot by police to plant firearms at his homes and other premises associated with him.
In a letter to Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet, the billionaire alleges that the officers were planning to frame him in fresh criminal charges of holding illegal guns.
Through his six attorneys led by Siaya Senator James Orengo, Wanjigi said the scheme by the cops involves raiding his residences and planting illegal firearms. The businessman is already facing charges of illegal possession of firearms at a Nyeri court.
“Part of the nefarious plan is to dump illegal guns in property associated with him or persons associated with him, with a view to accusing him of having an illegal cache of weapons,” reads the two-page letter to Boinnet.
The letter is also copied to Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji and National Police Service Commission. It is signed by lawyers Orengo, Nelson Havi, Julie Soweto, Willis Otieno, Kiogora Mugambi and Jackson Awele.
The lawyers maintained their client does not possess any illegal weapons and that all firearms he holds are licensed. “We shall take all the necessary measures to protect and defend him from the intended and ongoing illegal acts your officers are pursuing against him,” stated the lawyers.
In October last year, cops raided Wanjigi’s residence in Nairobi's Muthaiga estate and confiscated his firearms, which they said were illegal.

The guilty are afraid. Prove to them you don’t have guns. Invite them over to your house and show them every nook and corner. If you have them guns, tell them in advance. Otherwise stop shouting wolf. Or, let your money and power save you. Your savior Raila jumped ship. You followed him blindly since you thought he was your pathway to plundering Kenya even more. You were wrong this time around. Call Raila to save you or shut up and wait for your alleged raid to occur. I pity you brother. Good luck.

The guilty are afraid. If you think you are clean and harbor no weapons prove it. Invite the police in, show them every nook and corner, display the arms you have. Come clean. Otherwise let not your isolation, neglect and loneliness become an issue for all of us? You earned it and brought it on you. You followed Raila blindly thinking he would open doors wide for you to rob Kenya and rip it to shreds like you have been known to do. You would have been the head tender man again. But all that flopped and RAO moved on. You are now like the proverbial shepherd boy who cried wolf to draw attention to himself. When the real wolf appeared there was no one to help him. Ask RAO to include you in the famous handshake. Otherwise shut up and leave us alone. The country has moved ahead. Woe unto you if you still think you are relevant to our lives. Eat your loot alone and let us free from your problems. We have enough of our own.
