Media Mogul S.K Macharia Loses Control of Deceased Son's Sh1.2 Billion Estate

Media mogul S.K Macharia and his wife Serah Njeri have lost control of the Sh1.2 billion estate left behind by their deceased son John Gichia.

This comes after the High Court revoked the letters of administration granted to the two on April 5th, 2019 as Gichia’s parents.

The property was placed under the administration of Macharia and his wife since Gichia’s son Adam Kamau was a minor at the time his father died. Gichia died after a grisly road accident along Southern Bypass in April 2018.

Justice Stella Mutuku revoked the letters of administration issued to Macharia and Njeri following applications filed by Gichia’s former girlfriend Lisa Anyango Amenya and his siblings David Karanja Macharia and Stella Nyanjiru Macharia.

Gichia’s son Adam was also opposed to his grandfather’s management and has since filed a separate petition seeking to assume full control of the estate since he is now an adult.

The estate comprises shares and interests in over six trading companies with investments in insurance, communications, and real estate. The companies include Serenity Media Productions Ltd, Big Five Conservancy, Bushfire Media Distributors, Toi Redevelopment, and Harbour Capital Ltd.

Other are four motorbikes and nine luxury vehicles, including two Range Rovers, a Jaguar, BMW, and a Porsche 911.  The deceased also owned five residential houses in Nanyuki, Loresho, Kyuna Crescent, Kibarage, and Mugumo Crescent.

The properties are registered under AKM Investments Ltd, a name reportedly derived from the initials of Gichia’s son Adam Kamau Macharia.

Hopefully SK has been developing Adam on how to manage his Dad's estate.
If not Adam will blow every penny his dad had. Hopefully, he hasn't been watched the Kardashians shows.
