Kenya Officially My Second Home, American Rapper Rick Ross Declares

American rapper William Robert Leonards II alias Rick Ross has officially declared Kenya his second home.

The hip hop star made the announcement during his performance at the NRGWave concert at Carnivore grounds on Saturday night.

“This is now officially my second home, everywhere I go I will speak highly about you people here tonight. You could have been anywhere in the world right now but you chose to rock with the Boss,” said Ross mid-set.

In an interview with NTV on Friday, the Maybach Music CEO expressed plans of expanding his business empire in Kenya, noting that he was impressed with some of the opportunities he saw after arriving in the country.

“I’m always open minded I just want to win, so you never know when you all see me out here make sure you halla at me. I have seen some incredible art, I have seen some beautiful furniture I just love the hustle,” Rick Ross said during an interview on NTV.

“I love to see people create because as black people we love to consume but we have to make sure we create more than we consume,” he said.

The 42-year-old musician is believed to be worth about $35 million, amassed largely from sale of music and from his music recording label Maybach Music Group.

On Sunday, Rozay opened a hospital ward named after him at the Texas Cancer Center in Mbagathi, Nairobi.
