Ive Lost A Personal Friend in Muthoni (Lucy Kibaki), Othaya MP Mary Wambui Says

Othaya MP Mary Wambui yesterday broke down in tears, terming the death of former First Lady Lucy Kibaki a huge personal blow. At a press conference called by MPs from Nyeri county to pay tribute to Lucy, Wambui could not control herself as she was overcome by emotion and could not complete her tribute to Lucy, whom she described as a dedicated woman.

She said she had lost a personal friend whom she has shared many things with and taught her to be courageous in the fight for womenâ€™s rights. â€œWe condole with the former President and his family. We pray that they remain strong and know they are not alone during this difficult time.

We bid farewell to the former First Lady till we meet again.â€ Tetu MP Ndungâ€™u Gethenji, Kanini Kega (Kieni) and Peter Weru (Mathira) described Lucy as a mother figure.

Earlier yesterday, the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi gave MPs a chance to offer condolences in a plenary session. Muturi described Lucy as a role model for many as legislators from across the political divide unanimously heaped praise for the former First Lady for fighting for womenâ€™s space.

Haaaaaaaaaaaa she was shedding tears??????Ama ni juu anajua mzee won't b sneaking anymore,atakuwa anaenda bila kunjificha.We will miss Lucy kibaki mama wa taifa thou she disappointed me when he slap one of the guy in public,that was a big shame to her n to Kibaki also when he raided was it nation or stardard,big shame too.

So yes she was good but she was a pain when kibaki was in power.
Rest in peace kalucy.Death is for everyone whether Ur rich,poor,tall,small,fat,black,white,have degree or u reached std 8,whether uko diaspora or Africa,whether the country u leave in has the best healthcare or not.
When sir a God switches yr switch off we have to go so make a difference to this world n try to be good to pple.
