President Ruto Named One of Africa's Most Influential Figures in 2023

President William Ruto's involvement in last year's climate action debate has earned him a spot on the list of the most influential Africans in 2023.

London-based monthly publication, The New African magazine, recognizes the noteworthy contribution of Ruto in redefining Africa's position at the climate action summit. In September 2023, as the host nation, Kenya experienced a remarkable change under Ruto's guidance. The magazine lauds his skill in propelling Africa from a mere observer in the climate crisis dialogue to a proactive trailblazer, leading the way towards a sustainable future.

Ruto accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully obtaining $23 billion (equivalent to Sh3.5 trillion) in environmentally friendly financing and leading the way with a strong statement on worldwide taxation and financial reorganization. This accomplishment laid the foundation for the upcoming COP28 Summit in the United Arab Emirates. The publication acknowledges Ruto's significant influence in questioning long-standing conventions and disrupting the existing order. Additionally, Ruto garners praise for his exceptional combination of resolute perseverance and captivating charm.

The magazine acknowledges Ruto for his capability to motivate the younger generation to embrace entrepreneurship as a way to improve the country's economic standing. President Ruto's success is also attributed to his determination to remove visa requirements for all visitors to Kenya. In November 2023, Dr William Ruto received recognition from Time Magazine for his role as a top Climate leader in the business realm. Time Magazine commended Dr Ruto for his dedication to promoting eco-friendly investments in Africa, exemplified by his successful organization of the first-ever Africa Climate Summit.

In an interview, Dr Ruto stressed the importance of reevaluating the perception of investment risks in Africa, urging capital providers to contribute to the climate cause in the upcoming year. Dr Ruto contended that structural factors often lead to an exaggerated assessment of these risks. Moreover, he stressed the importance of attaining a global carbon price by 2024, which would effectively mirror the genuine expense of climate change and be integrated into trade policies. Despite the global acknowledgement, many Kenyans believe that the nation is veering in an unfavourable course under President Ruto's regime.

There are two decadent institutions that we borrowed from our brothers and sisters from the NORTH aka WEST: Politics and religion. These two institutions will always make sure that all COHO (Continent of Human Origins aka Africa) residents will always remain at the bottom of the human developmental scale forever and ever.
