MP Moses Kuria to Undergo a Rare Stem Cell Surgery in Dubai
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is this week set to undergo a rare stem cell surgery in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Kuria, who sustained serious feet injuries in September, told Capital FM News that he will be among the pioneers in the world to undergo this kind of operation.
“I am scheduled for stem cell surgery this week. This is a rare surgery and I will be among the pioneers to undergo it in the world,” he said from his hospital bed.
The vocal politician was admitted at Karen Hospital for about two months before he was flown to Dubai. Last month, Kuria announced that he underwent surgery at the American Hospital Dubai, his seventh operation in two months.
The MP suffered three-degree burns in his feet after using an electric therapeutic mat he purchased from Nairobi-based company Ceragem Limited for Sh250,000 to cure numbness in his feet.
“A friend of mine convinced me to use a gadget which to my knowledge I thought was authorized. This gadget happened to do some slow-burning of my feet. I was trying to cure a problem by introducing a killer solution. I went home at night and my feet just exploded,” Kuria said in an interview.
“I came here [Karen Hospital] the following day and they said I had third-degree burns. They had to do some emergency surgery, then they did a proper surgery, and as late as yesterday yet another surgery. Something that was supposed to be a solution has seen me undergo three surgeries.”
The MP has vowed to sue Ceragem Limited after it emerged that the company is not licensed by the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Kuria’s dirty association with the DP Ruto cost him his legs! You can’t steal from the poor people and think God is not watching!
God used an electric warmer to remind Kuria that hungry constituents surrounded him! The money he spent on the don thing could have educated 20 poor kids!
Kuria’s situation is a good learning example to all the politicians who have stolen or killed the Lowry of the society! Kuria is have a Saul moment! God does not play!
