Detectives Intensify Hunt for Fugitive 'Killer Cop' Caroline Kangogo

The hunt for suspected killer cop Caroline Kangogo has entered week two with detectives admitting that it is becoming hard to track her down.

Sources privy to the investigations said the search is complicated by the fact that she is no longer using her phone and Sim cards.

Nakuru East sub-county deputy police commander Phanton Analo told People Daily that officers are still following leads in a bid to arrest her.

A multi-agency team comprising police, the military, and sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has since been formed to hunt down Kangogo, according to Nation.

It emerged that the fugitive withdrew Sh40,000 from a bank in Juja, Kiambu County last week to facilitate her movements and continued hiding.

Kangogo is suspected to have shot and killed Police Constable John Ogweno, 28, in his car parked within Kasarani police quarters in Nakuru on July 5th before fleeing with his loaded Ceska pistol.

The suspect allegedly emerged in Juja, Kiambu County on the same day where she also shot dead a businessman identified as Peter Ndwiga Njiru, 32.

She is said to have lured Njiru to a room at Dedamax Hotel in Kimbo at around 4:00 pm and shot him on the head at point-blank range before leaving at midnight and fleeing to an unknown destination. The man’s body was found lying in a pool of blood on the bed.

CCTV footage captured Kangogo, dressed in a yellow hoodie, leaving the hotel at around 12.30 am on Tuesday.

The DCI warned members of the public about Kangogo, who was stationed at Nakuru central police station, describing her as armed and dangerous. Detectives are pursuing revenge as a possible motive for the killing of two men, who are suspected to be her lovers.
