Kiambaa By-election: Police Cordon Off Karuri Grounds as Jubilee and UDA Clash over Venue

There was tension in Kiambaa on Sunday as Jubilee Party and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) members clashed over a campaign venue.

Both parties were competing for Karuri Primary School grounds where they planned to hold their rallies ahead of Thursday’s parliamentary by-election.

While Jubilee erected several tents in the field on Saturday, Deputy President William Ruto-linked UDA party claimed it had already booked and paid for the venue.

To avert the impending clash between supporters and leaders of the two parties, police officers were dispatched to the school at midday and cordoned off the grounds, putting the planned rallies on hold.

Karuri Police Commander Ali Nano later announced that the planned rallies had been canceled.

Six candidates are fighting for the seat that fell vacant following the death of former MP Paul Koinange.

Emotions ran high as the late Kiambaa MP Paul Koinange was laid to rest at his home in Kiambu County on Saturday.

Koinange died of COVID-19 related complications while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital on March 31st.

Jubilee party’s Kariri Njama and John Njuguna Wanjiku of UDA are the frontrunners for the seat.

A man with a last name of Wanjiku can’t lead the people! He will be behaving like Ruto himself wearing red trousers in public like a Kihii.

Kiambaa deserves way better than to have Ruto come to the core heart of the kikuyu nation to divide the Kikuyus after killing our people in 2007.

People should never forget the women and children Ruto burned alive in Kiambaa church in 2007. We should not also forget our men who Ruto killed with poisoned bowl and arrows as they tried to save our families from a burning Kiambaa church in 2007.

The blood of our burned families is still fresh and we should respect them! Kiambaa elections reminds us how fragile the situation would be with Ruto succeeding Uhuru! Ruto is pissing in the graves of our people in Kiambaa! We should stand up to reject anything Ruto uda in Kiambaa!

I am talking to you and all those young thugs who have been conned by Ruto with flowery gifts to betray those he killed in 2007 in Kiambaa! You in particular shouldn’t be wagging your small tail here after Ruto bribed you to lie fir him to your compatriots! It is a shame that your memory is that short for consuming too much Chagaa! You and your fellow youth aught to be ashamed of yourself fir busting a thief snd a killer! The Wanjiku kid has no manners because he never had a father to teach him good mana.

It is not Uhuru to lose but those who live in Kiambaa! The son of Jomo got nothing to lose! Y’all folks will carry the greatest liability of have a Ruto’s party play in the weak hands of Kiambaa people!

Uhuru will eat, sleep, have fun whether Kiambaa wins or loses!!

But I tend to feel sorry for you guys to take yourselves to the mouth of a hyena! Don’t complain when your folks are being killed in Eldoret and government coffers are being drained by Ruto himself! I have fore warned you!

@ Ndugu Mwenda:

Majambazi Ruto and Uhuru cases were thrown out because Bensuda & Co deliberately refused to charge wauaji Kibaki and Raila, the PM(PRIME MURDERER) of 07/08 PEV.He had a chance to clear his name in Hague(even without been charged) but the blood he swallowed from his victims could not allow him.
