Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana Captures Kenyans’ Hearts with another New Project

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana on Saturday launched yet another project that is set to benefit the county's residents.

Prof. Kibwana opened the Kathonzweni Milk Processing Plant that is set to pasteurize 1000 liters of milk per hour.

The Governor says the project was done in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“I wish to thank USAID Kenya for helping us install the Kathonzweni Milk Processing Plant, through the International Livestock and Research Institute (ILRI). The plant has a capacity to pasteurize 1000 liters of milk per hour,” Governor Kibwana says.

Kibwana's development track record has continued to earn him admiration from Kenyans, with many urging him to run for President in 2022.

In December last year, the Governor opened a new 120-bed capacity Makueni Mother and Child Hospital in Wote town built at a cost of Sh135 million.

"The Centre will provide amenities like aqua-birthing facility and Kangaroo mother care room among others," the Governor said during the launch.

The facility also has antenatal wards, ultra-modern newborn unit, post-surgical ward, labor ward, and a neonatal ward.

Despite enduring a difficult first-term in office in the hands of stubborn Members of the County Assembly, Kibwana has been ranked number one among the 47 Governors as far as development is concerned.

He has successfully managed to employ public participation to prioritize projects in Makueni County.

He has also managed to build a mango processing factory, milk processing plants and connecting several households with clean piped water in addition to rolling out a special universal healthcare programme for residents.

Prof Kivutha Kibwana has demonstrated time and again that he’s the man that Kenya desperately needs at the helm. He may have stated he ain’t interested in the presidency but we should all nudge him until he’s ready. He already has my vote. Kenyans, irrespective of your ethnicity, here’s a man we can all trust with the presidency

Here is a leader who has put his education into good use besides genuinely caring for his electorate. He has his heart in the right place.

@ Mlachake does anybody know why he is hesitant for presidency title? There is a very good reason why Kenyans want him to run.Yes ,running acounty may not be as challenging as running the country, but his supporters, and even opponents in secret admire his ability to produce. We know he has the tools to do it,compared to the past and present leaders.
The masses want somebody of their own choosing also to be on the ballot, and not only those imposed,on them or brided their way.Yes kibwana should reconsider his position. He is the man of the people.
We have seen Phd holders in Kenya being castigated as only paper certificate holders, but no brains to develop, and prosper unless stealing for themselves.
Here is a true civil servant.Infact these Mpigs, and MCAs who run to first word countries in the pretext that they are going on hands on training, should book their dates with Kibwana,if they truly want to learn. We know what they do when they go to foreign countries.Who wouldnt want afree paid vacation to Miami with his mistress, plus public paid gifts?

I cannot claim to know why he’s hesitant to take on the establishment for the highest office in the land but I guess, like many decent men and women out there, he hates the sheer stupidity that characterizes politics & leadership in Kenya. He may rightly feel that he’s above the fray and I agree. But then this is the exact kind of a man that we all need to put in State house come 2022.
And you’ve stated something very interesting - we don’t need anybody using taxpayers’ monies to travel abroad for the so called benchmarking tours. Makueni is the place to flock to

This guy has put a lot of governors to shame. By now no county should go without water. What these guys spend on trips is prob equivalent to 100 boreholes. Hii ukabila and stupidity plus corruption is holding us back big time.
