Kenya Records Lowest Daily Covid-19 Cases in Three Months

Kenya on Monday recorded 48 new cases of Covid-19, the lowest daily tally in three months.
The cases were detected from 1,081 samples tested in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 36,205, according to the Health Ministry.
All the 48 new patients are Kenyan nationals aged between 12 and 75 with 31 being males while 17 are females.
They are distributed in counties as follows; Mombasa (20), Nairobi (15), Tharaka Nithi (4), Kiambu (2), Kilifi (2), Meru (2), Machakos (1), Wajir (1), and Homabay (1).
Two more patients succumbed to the disease during the period raising the death toll to 624.
At the same time, 176 people recovered from the virus bringing the total number of recoveries to 23,243. 45 of the recovered patients were under the home-based care program while 131 were discharged from various health facilities across the country.
