Raila Speaks on His Health After Undergoing Surgery in the UAE [VIDEO]

ODM leader Raila Odinga says he is doing well after undergoing surgery in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week.

Odinga addressed Kenyans through a video posted on his official social media pages on Wednesday, thanking everyone who wished him a quick recovery.

“Dad, everyone was talking like you are in the ICU, how are you feeling?” Raila’s daughter Winnie Odinga asks him in the video.

Odinga, who is dressed in a pair of blue Khaki shorts and a yellow polo shirt, responds: “I’m feeling great, I feel strong and rejuvenated and it feels good to be out of town breathing fresh air.”

He adds: “I want to thank all my friends, supporters and youth, and everyone who has sent me messages, it feels good and makes one recover faster.”

In an interview with Daily Nation this week, Raila’s wife Ida Odinga said her husband went under the knife at a hospital in Dubai to treat a nerve disorder that has been affecting one of his legs.

Ida added that although the operation was successful, Raila is likely to remain in Dubai until he recovers fully.

“He is in the United Arab Emirates-Dubai based International Hospital run by Germans. He has been successfully treated of a mild nerve disorder affecting one leg and not what has been alleged,” Ida said.

“You know that currently there are no commercial flights. This means that if he is to come back, we have to charter a plane. But that process will be kicked off once he fully recovers.”

He’s “Breathing fresh air” in Dubai.

Basically he was suffocating while in Kenya. Zero fresh air , vumbii tupu!

The Kenyan government is suffocating everyone.

Every Kenyan needs a break from kenya and the Kenyan government .

Kenyans needs secession, we can’t breath.

This guy only knows about his health and that of his family. He can still sneak out in the middle of a lockdown for the best care abroad unlike 99 percent. Wish him good recovery though Mutua for president. We need a leader with a working brain towards the 99% wellbeing.

Meanwhile your die hard supporters. You know the one who have following you like sheep. They are dying at home as they cannot afford the miserable medical care that you have failed to improve as MP, prime minister and tribal leader.

Baba can't be operated in a Kenyan hospital. This is because one is supposed to be naked in the operation theater and his secret of the cut will leak to the nurses.
