Miguna Miguna Camps at German Airport, Accuses Government of Bluffing
Miguna Miguna says the Government of Kenya is yet to withdraw a red alert issued to Lufthansa Air despite promising to do so.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, Miguna said he is still at the Tegel Airport in Berlin after the Lufthansa flight he was to board to Nairobi left without him. He shared a photo of himself seated at the airport with his luggage.
“I’m still at the TXL airport in Berlin. Lufthansa has stated that it is ready to transport me to Kenya when the RED ALERT has been formally cancelled or withdrawn by the illegitimate Government of Kenya. But as of now, despite lies peddled via social media and press statements, the RED ALERT has not been cancelled,” he tweeted.
He added: “I'm exploring all my options. I'll communicate when and how I will travel to Kenya later today or tomorrow. Meanwhile, I urge all my supporters, freedom fighters and genuine human rights defenders to remain focused and unbowed. Mobilize for a huge homecoming to shame the despots.”
The flight departed Germany at 11.20 am (East Africa Time) and is expected to arrive in Nairobi at 9.25 pm. Speaking to Hot 96 FM on Tuesday morning, Miguna claimed that the alert warned the airline against ferrying him to Kenya or any African country.
"In fact, the Kenya Government has demanded that Lufthansa must refund my fare. They have demanded that Lufthansa should not fly me into any other African country, either," Miguna told Hot 96 FM.
"Lufthansa flight manager is saying that the Government of Kenya must send official communication to Lufthansa at Frankfurt office before I can be allowed to fly to Kenya or any other African country."
Government Spokesperson Col. Cyrus Oguna confirmed the existence of the red alert but could not confirm whether it was issued recently or existed since 2018 when Miguna unsuccessfully tried to return to Kenya. He added that President Kenyatta had given the green light for Miguna’s return.
“But that (red alert) is an issue that can be sorted out by the Foreign Affairs ministry,” Oguna told Daily Nation when contacted for comment. “The President’s clearance supersedes any other order,” he added.

What a shock? He needs to hire Settled Nomad as his travel attorney since he understands IATA rules and regulations better than this Canadian Attorney.

JKIA should be declared a hostile airport for international travelers.
No-one is going to beg despots, get that straight.
If they can’t obey court orders, they have to go.
Time for some people to drown their feelings in Jameson, international travelers are not his level.

@Guest, this should not be too difficult. So here goes: if you obtained citizenship of another country prior to 2010, you could not keep your Kenya citizenship i.e. he lost his citizenship at that time. Once the new constitution passed, you were able to regain it by taking a few simple steps. The process is easy. Here is a link you can provide to your hero - it has a Canadian link to make it easier for a Canadian citizen.

If the rest of us were able to follow Kenya's constitution and its requirements, what makes this self important egotistical self worshipping man better and deserving of special treatment? If he can't follow the damn law like the rest of us now, imagine if he gets elected. This man is a budding despot.

It’s good to know you are catering to your own stomach.
Miguna is helping a lot of people in Kenya and the in the world.
You cannot compare someone like you who thinks about their own stomach to a leader of the people.
Shut up and keep your peace.
