DP Ruto Promises Decent Houses, Jobs for Kibra Residents if Mariga Wins By-Election

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday led Jubilee leaders in drumming up support for McDonald Mariga, the Jubilee Party candidate in the upcoming Kibra by-election.

Ruto promised residents of Kibra an array of goodies from the government if Mariga wins the November 7th contest.

Among the benefits Kibra residents will get are decent houses that will be put up under the affordable housing program, a training college, and jobs, Ruto said.

“If you are a resident of Kibra, as the Jubilee government we want to construct houses so that if you are paying, for instance, Ksh.4,000 0r Ksh.5,000 after 15 years the house becomes yours,” said Ruto.

Ruto promised that the construction of the training college would commence the following day if Mariga emerges the winner of the by-election.

“I am also aware that so many youths here have no jobs…. If you elect Mariga on November 7th, on November 8th we shall sit down with him so that by next year we have a training college here,” he added.
