Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Arrested for Threatening Citizen TV Journalist

Controversial Kenyan televangelist James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre was arrested on Sunday night by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for allegedly threatening Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.

His arrest comes after Kaikai, who is the director of strategy and innovation at Royal Media Services, filed a complaint with the DCI.

In a video released on social media last week, pastor Ng'ang'a warned that Kaikai would face unknown consequences for suggesting that the government should regulate the religious sector.

In a show dubbed News Gang on Citizen TV, Kaikai also suggested that preachers should have a minimum of Bachelor's in Theology for them to be allowed to conduct their business.

Kaikai said Kenya should emulate Rwanda, where President Paul Kagame ordered close down of more than 6,000 churches that did not meet set standards.

“We are dealing with thieves, not men of God. These are cold-blooded evangelical vampires living off the blood of their flock in the name of Jesus. They are conmen who must have their date with our police and our law courts,” said Kaikai during the Thursday night show.

“Rwanda set the pace, Kenya should follow suit. Preachers must be accountable to a being other than God and that is the law and fellow human beings."

In response, pastor Ng'ang'a warned the journalist to keep off religious matter saying: “Wewe kijana wachana na mambo zako… na kama umeingia laini ya Pastor Ng’ang’a, my friend you will face the consequences…wewe utakimbia tu (Young man, stop your nonsense. If you’ve decided to cross Pastor Ng’ang’a’s line, my friend you will face the consequences. You will have to run),” the preacher says in the viral video.

In the video, the clergyman is wearing military-like fatigue and calls himself a Chief General Commander.

“Separate preaching na hii sarakasi za news anchor, nakwambia tu kijana. I am telling you like a Chief General Commander, you have to stop that, if you don’t stop you will face the consequences…” adds Pastor Ng’ang’a.

He will be arraigned in court on Monday.

"evangelical vampires living off the blood of their flock in the name of Jesus. They are conmen who must have their date with our police and our law courts."

No need to add to that. Mr. Kaikai said it best. Those words should be pasted on every door of these silly churches so the gullible flock can read.

Thief in the name of Christ. Charge him with fraud aa well since he has stolen so much from the poor people of Kenya. Mwizi wa kuku na yule anayeimba kwa jina la mungu tofauti ni gani? Both are thieves! Right?

Criminal murderers like Nganga and Maina Njenga should not be allowed to own a Church. To get a job you have to do background check why not to men of cloth. Genuine Church has been hijacked by hardcore criminals like Nganga and soft-core criminals like Kiuna and his wife.

If ng'ang'a is trully a man of God,the first thing and last is to pray for brother Kaikai, instead of threatening him.
The clergy continue behaving badly.Yesterday was a female pastor showing her thighs in a tight split dress. Today we have another pastor threatening in an ungodly manner. This is what drives sinners away-when they see no difference between them and so called men of God.

It’s plain for all to see. Nganga, you need some self examination. The froth that sometimes come out of your mouth is only fit for the underworld. Maybe the old Adam has s still reigning supreme in you. Do you ever preach repentance?

Yes he is @njai. He drives his Range Rover drank runs over a lady in Limuru and kills her. He won the case; luck of enough evidence (read- judge bribed) Director of prosecution disagrees with the verdict and orders a new trial. That's the much I know about this neno-nonsense and his evil ministry.

Namwomba Rais Uhuru Muigai ayafunge makanisa haya ya utapeli na ujambazi kama Rais Kagame wa Rwanda alivyofanya hivi majuzi.
