National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale Vows to Name Sugar Cartels Next Week

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has vowed to name cartels behind the importation of contraband sugar into the country.

Speaking at the inaugural Garissa High School Alumni Conference, Duale said he had tabled a list of individuals involved in the smuggling of suspected poisonous sugar before Parliament’s Agriculture and Trade Committees and their identities will be revealed on Tuesday.

“Report of people who imported sugar that is not fit for human consumption is with committee of parliament and I will name them on Tuesday,” said Duale.

“These sugar barons, whoever they are, regions they come from… will account for their business dealings before parliamentary committees,” he added.

The vocal politician also delved into the lifestyle audit ordered by President Kenyatta, noting that the exercise should begin from 1963, when the Kenya attained independence to date.

“We are more than prepared for the lifestyle audit, we must know who owns what, we must clear this country with corruption, we must who are importers of bad sugar, selling drugs and destroying forests,” he added.

Mr.Duale, the minute you claim to have patent information regarding a crime against the people of Kenya, you should not be at liberty to disclose or withhold such incriminating information, you should be compelled to record a detailed statement with the relevant authority or else be put in jail.

Mr. Duale, we need to remind you that you and all elected leaders are public servants. You took vows to defend and protect those who elected you. Your monthly income comes from every Mwananchi that you vowed to protect. This means if you know who is affecting the Mwananchi negatively, that information is not privileged and you should not threaten to disclose it, you should just disclose it. If next week you don't disclose it, we will assume you got bribed to be part of destroying our human resources. God help Kenya!!

I am getting tired of these politicians threatening to reveal pertinent information on corrupt individuals. To me this is as close as it gets to "obstruction of justice".If you know the crooks, please name them in the interest of national security.
