Kenyan Man Admits to Skinning 1,000 Cats, Selling Meat

A middle-aged man narrowly escaped death after irate residents busted him skinning a cat at an open field in Nakuru.

The man, who identified himself as James Mukangi had already cut the pet's neck by the time he was ambushed and was in the process of removing the skin.

He was found skinning the cat along the railway line, less than a kilometre from Nakuru town. Angry mob had began roughing him up, but police officers from the nearby Ukulima Police post arrived on time to save his life.

When he was interrogated, the man admitted he has been skinning the domestic animals for sale to some clients in Nakuru town for the past seven years. Mukangi said has ready market for its skin and the meat and had slaughtered more than 1,000 cats over the said period.

The suspect was taken to Nakuru Central Police station and will be arraigned in court on Monday.

That meat may be acceptable in China, but this is not China. This is Kenya. Kenyans are Kenyans and Chinese are that Chinese. Let the Chinese stick to their delicacy, while Kenyans stick to theirs. This is wrong and anyone willing to feed people that should move to China where its acceptable. All people's have their own boundaries. That's the reason we all fit and have space in this world. May God protect Kenya and Kenyans. God bless Kenya!!!

@Anonymous UI,The fellow did not say who his customers are. They could be Chinese.Monkeys have become adelicacy in some parts of Kenya. This surprises me I guess times have changed.
Anyway,if this man is stealing peoples' pets, thats a crime.Same as celling un inspected,or certified meat, whether to Chinese eaters,or anybody else. Its a health issue more that a moral issue to me.
Like they say traditions die hard. For along time, I could not eat shrimps, because the minded me of maggots that reside in cowdung.
Scientifically there is nothing wrong with eating many animals. Cats and dogs were wild at one time till man domesticated them for various uses...Its the community that has to decide how to live, and what is available there as,and for food. Scarcity has a way of changing peoples minds,or morals pretty quick.
For now, we have plenty of other animals to meet our carnivorous appetite.
Wonder what Iwould do if my chinese wife roosted Felix our cat!Just kidding still single.so you single ladies our there send your resumes. I wont disappoint.

Some Kenyan people have degenerated morally that I will not be surprised to hear that the sambusas and the nyama choma meat the people are enjoying are is made from "human flesh."

It's time to be a vegetarian in the current morally bankrupt Kenya where "anything goes."

Too much west is east. This is good. Africans are already too much west into everything, fake sugar, fake meat, fake news, fake religion, fake alcohol, fake leaders, fake wealth. Soon we will have to rediscover ourselves. We will soon start looking for our intended path as soon as we find our current journey of following some one else is really a journey to nowhere. We are about to finally discover who we are. God bless Kenya!!!

You know when I moved to majuu (as Mkenya Halisi was say), I was shocked at how Nigerians enjoyed fried cow skin, cow feet (hooves), and egusi soup (that is made from pumpkin seeds). If you cooked the above to a Kenyan, they would probably not eat. So, let Kenyans eat what they feel right and if cat is not one of them, do not give it to them.

I would eat a cat fish...anyway, this is news to me that cow hooves are edible.Ohlala fried cow skin! in that case I wont rule out some humans somewhere eat the testacles, and penis of bulls, which I would think are"meatty",and rich in protein.
