We'll Deal with You, Nyanza Leaders Warn Miguna Miguna

A section of leaders drawn from Nyanza region have sent a warning to self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna, threatening to "bring him" down.

Led by Migori Governor Okoth Obado, MPs Tom Odege (Nyatike) and Onyango K'Oyoo (Muhoroni), the leaders said that they will deal with the fiery lawyer should they establish that he is being used to shoot down opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking when they attended a fundraiser in Migori county, the leaders hit out at Miguna for blaming Odinga for his recent removal from the country, stating that he should blame himself for refusing to adhere to the law.

"If Miguna is ready to play the ball with us, we will play with him, but if he is being used to bring Raila down, we have to bring Miguna down ahead of Raila," vowed MP Odege.

"Let him [Miguna] also respect the law, we cannot survive on impunity. If he was just required to fill in some forms and be permitted in, he should have done just that but he was so arrogant," Governor Obado stated. 

The leaders said they are ready to work with the deported lawyer, but on condition that he respects Odinga. Last week, Miguna claimed that Odinga approved President Kenyatta's orders to have him banished out of the country on March 29th.

"This order could only come from the President himself and I suspect also those ones he has entered into deal with. The reason why I say this is it is not easy for a Cabinet Minister or a bureaucrat to disobey not just one court order but 11 court orders," he said in an interview with NewsMakers on TRT World.
