US Travel Magazine Ranks Nairobi as Third Best World Destination for 2018

A United States travel and restaurant magazine, Trip advisor has ranked Kenyan capital city, Nairobi among top 10 world destinations for 2018.

Popularly referred to as the green city in the sun, the Kenyan capital was ranked third, behind Ishigaki in Japan and Kapaa in Hawaii.

Halifax (Canada), Gdansk (Poland)and San Jose (Costa Rica) took positions four, five and six respectively, while Riga (Latvia), Rovinj (Croatia), Nerja (Spain) and Casablanca (Morocco) wrapped up the top 10 list.

The rating was determined by an algorithm that measures the year-on-year rise in positive TripAdvisor rankings for restaurants, hotels and attractions, plus the number of destination bookings in comparison to previous years.

The magazine lists Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and Nairobi National Park, which has black rhinos as the city's top sites.

I agree, TOTALLY, with the ranking.
TripAdvisor is a ranking by actual visitors ....an aggregate not a one-off review. The sites listed are clean and breath-taking, especially for foreigners. GO KENYA!

It has bin n it will always b the best.I mean Kenya as a whole If u compare many things with the west n Europe?We have poverty yes but weatherise,richness in pple n resources Africa will always b nomber one!!!Many of pple don’t have much but they r happier than those who have big houses paying big mortgage 2 cars in garage n many more which they don’t own n will enslave themselves many years to come working like donkeys!!!Who wonder why smart wazungu get stuck in Africa n never go back to their countries.I see n talk to them in nanyuki,naivasha,Mombasa,muranga,Nairobi n they r like Kenya is the best !

@mkenya halisi. on this point I support you. Yes we are poor but we have each other. We borrow chumvi to our neighbors and we are happy to share. You cannot knock at your neighbor door to borrow chumvi in Western country. You keep quiet with our own problems and lock yourself inside your houses.
