Anne Waiguru on the Spot over Sh51 Million Meant for President Uhuru's Re-Election Campaign
A section of leaders from Kirinyaga have questioned the manner in which Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru utilized Sh51.9 million raised for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election campaign for the October 26th repeat presidential election.
Last month, leaders and professionals from Kirinyaga county raised over Sh50 million within 48 hours for Uhuru's campaign and are now demanding for Governor Waiguru to account for the cash.
The leaders allege that the few campaign activities organized after the fundraiser could not have consumed the entire cash.
"We want to be told where much of the cash went because only vehicles were branded and few campaign road-shows conducted. This is a scandal,” Peter Kariuki told Nairobi News.
Another politician Ephraim Warui said he suspects the money was not used as they had planned. "I was involved in the campaigns and I doubt that all the money was spent for the intended purpose,” he said.
Murango Kamau, who is the Majority leader in Kirinyaga county assembly said the campaign committee he was heading only received Sh11 Million.
"I only know of Sh11 million and and I can clearly account for it. I think the difference was a pledge by MCAs, MPs and Professionals,” he said.

Campaign funds raised, even in the developed countries, are raised and may exceed immediate expenses, (such was the case in Obama’s presidential campaign). The funds however are retained and used for similar purposes as intended or within agreeable interests. Hopefully an explanation comes through, to the shame of stone throwers.

Congratulations Dr. Anne Waiguru. You are doing an exemplary job that you perfected when you worked for the NYS. Make sure you empty the entire bank account of Kirinyaga County and take all the money into your personal account. The people of this county knew very well what you had done at the national level when they elected you. Make sure that all vehicles driving through your county are confiscated and immediately possessed. All the owners of these vehicles plus all Matatus should be arrested and all their possessions taken.
On the national level, the people who elected William Ruto knew exactly his background information. He had raped a 16 year old girl and impregnated her while claiming to be a born again christian. He stole the land of Muteshi and found guilty. Therefore, I am asking Ruto to empty the entire Kenya's national treasury and take all the money and make it his own.
The voting people of Kenya should accept the lot that we have in the parliament and move on! On the other hand, these people would not have been elected had the IEBC officials not cleared them. Therefore, all the current IEBC members should be arrested and charged for clearing people unfit to run for public office.
