Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Monday evening held a birthday party in Mombasa as he turned 74.
Among those who attended the party include President Kenyatta, First Lady Margaret, Odinga's wife Ida, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, his Nairobi counterpart Mike Sonko and Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.
"Happy Birthday to you my brother
@RailaOdinga You've demonstrated great statesmanship in your willingness to join me in uniting & developing our country for the good of all Kenyans. Our wish is for Kenya to have peace & to prosper through unity. God bless you on this special day," President Kenyatta says in a tweet.
Others guests are East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Oburu Odinga, Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and President Kenyatta personal assistant Jomo Gecaga, among others.
In a video that has gone viral online, Kenyatta, Odinga, Joho, Margaret and Ida are seen dancing to Tanzania singer Harmonize’s song ‘Happy Birthday’ during the party held at a private residence in Mombasa.
