Cuban Doctors to Enjoy Private Swimming Pools, Gyms in Nairobi

Cuban doctors posted in Nairobi are set to enjoy private swimming pools and gym in their houses courtesy of the county government. 

This is after Nairobi county government invited tenders for two fully furnished houses in the city's high-end suburbs to accommodate the medical specialists.

In a tender notice, the Mike Sonko administration said it wants to rent three-bedroomed houses for the two Cuban doctors for one year.  It says the houses must be fully furnished from the kitchen, sitting room as well as bedrooms.

 "Fully furnished bedroom but not limited (bedding, washing machine). Fully furnished kitchen but not limited (kitchen appliance, kitchen utensils). Fully furnished sitting room but not limited electrical appliances. Fully furnished washroom, reliable water and electricity." the notice read.

The notice further says the two houses must have private car parks with security as per the United Nations standards.

Nairobi leafy suburbs that meet the specifications of the tender by the county government includes Karen, Lang’ata, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Muthangari, Spring Valley, Muthaiga, Lower Kabete, Kitisuru, Westlands, Highridge, Loresho and Windsor .

Rental prices for the described houses in the post areas average between Sh140,000 and Sh250,000 a month. The fees could rise to Sh400,000 in areas like Runda, Kitisuru and Loresho.
