Muthama Graduates With Master’s Degree From UK University

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has recently attained a Master of Public Administration from the University of Birmingham, UK.
The announcement of his academic achievement, accompanied by a celebratory photograph on social media, has garnered praise from figures such as lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi and Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai, who commend his dedication to lifelong learning. Muthama’s pursuit of advanced studies occurs against a backdrop of heightened political tensions in Kenya.
As a seasoned politician and businessman, Muthama serves as a commissioner at the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) and is recognised as the founding chairman of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). In late May, Muthama criticised Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over remarks concerning the 2007/08 post-election violence. Addressing the public, Muthama warned that revisiting such traumatic events could undermine social cohesion and potentially incite instability.
"We should forget about what happened in the past and move forward," he said.
His critique extended to the chaotic launch of Gachagua’s new political party, with Muthama imploring leaders to uphold peace and democratic values in their conduct and rhetoric.
