Kenya’s Covid-19 Cases Rise to 189 as 10 More Patients Recover

Kenya has confirmed five additional cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 189.
The five new cases were detected from a total of 504 samples examined in the past 24 hours, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said on Friday.
All the new patients are Kenyan nationals, including three females and two males. Only one of them has a history of travel.
“They are two males and 3 females. One case was from mandatory quarantine and the others were picked by our surveillance teams,” said Kagwe during a press briefing.
Three of the cases were recorded in Mombasa County while Nairobi and Nyandarua registered one case each. The age of the five patients ranges from 27 to 58 years.
CS Kagwe also announced 10 more patients who had been admitted to Mbagathi Hospital have recovered from Covid-19 and are in the process of being discharged. This raises the number of Covid-19 recoveries in Kenya to 22.
So far a total of 6,192 samples have been tested for coronavirus while 2,054 Covid-19 cases have been monitored, out of which 1,481 have been cleared.
“We are able to conduct 600 tests per day and will increase capability in days to come. We are also now able to use automatic machines,” said Kagwe.

See the benefits of taking immediate action. Had Kenya waited for more cases to take action, the virus would be all over Kenya. Kenya is flattening the curve. Good work Mr. president. Hope the vaccine is out soon for normal life to continue.
