Declare Your Coronavirus Statuses, Raila Tells MPs

ODM leader Raila Odinga has urged MPs to declare their coronavirus results, saying contracting the disease is not a crime.

Odinga, in an interview with Radio Citizen on Friday, said revealing their statuses will help tame the further spread of the highly contagious illness.

“Having the disease of corona is not criminal because you did not choose to be infected. Let no one shy away. If I am infected, I will say and I isolate myself,” Raila stated.

Odinga was speaking in reference to the recent reports claiming that at least 17 Kenyans MPs had tested positive for the respiratory disease.

Odinga, who on Thursday donated foodstuff worth Sh15 million to vulnerable people in Nairobi, has urged leaders and Kenyans to unite in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, saying this is not the right time for politics.

“The money that you were taking in church, now take it to the people. Nobody has money but we need to help each other not only doing politics of back and forth,” he said.

On the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), Odinga said ‘reggae’ will continue once the coronavirus disease is contained.

“When coronavirus is contained, reggae will continue. This disease has cut our lives short but we are planning. Those who were dealing with BBI are still working and are about to finish,” he added.

"reggae" is your political madness disease and just like coronavirus, Kenyans don't want it. For many decades, thousands of Kenyans have died by your reckless political dramas, theatrical mass protests and political coups all in an effort to satisfy your political greed and demons. Leave Kenyans alone and let them choose their own leaders without crisis and confusion and unrest that you always orchestrate in the country. You have blood in your hands! You never told us how innocent Kenyans including women and children were burnt alive in a church as you violently campaigned for the presidency. Think about it. Those who committed those crimes against humanity have never been convicted and imprisoned yet, the lives of the victims of your crimes live with pain and despair everyday of their lives.

I agree with baba. Being positive is not a crime in any case if you declare positive it's good for the community at large.
Wenye hutoa sandaka every Sunday we need to see them now. The notion that you can only donate to church is not christianity. Feed the poor and God will bless you.

Raila should know that BBI ( Breaking Bridges Initiative ) is dead. It was Corona virus's first political casualty!! Many more to come.
It's funeral was skipped due to corona virus. We will bury it as soon as we go past the corona virus!!

Not my kin. Not my grandpa. Used the least choice words. Just told him the truth. Could have called him murderer, thief, adulterer, agitator, rubble rouser, jailbird, but did not. Give me some credit.
You must be one of his many sidekicks. Mchenzi.

Their covid status is very much my business because they could infect my family
neighbor or friends. If they insist on attending social events they must be safe or they should retreat to their homes and stop infecting people.Yes that list should be made public like yesterday
