Kenyan Housemaid Alleged to be HIV Positive Caught on CCTV Breastfeeding Employer’s 2-Year-Old Son
A Kenyan house help who was allegedly caught on CCTV trying to breastfeed her employer’s two-year-old baby was on Wednesday arraigned in court.
A Nyeri court was told that Catherine Mbuyuka was on Monday seen on CCTV attempting to breastfeed the child when her employer was away.
Magistrate JM Macharia heard that the suspect is HIV positive and her intention was to infect the young boy with the virus. She is also accused of fondling the minor on several occasions.
The accused denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh300,000. The case will be mentioned on March 27th, 2020.
In the three-minute CCTV footage obtained by a local media, the 20-year-old woman is seen holding the kid on her lap and tries to give him her breast to feed on. She is dressed in a blue tee-shirt and a black skirt.

Poor child I hope he didn't contract anything. It's scary that we leave our babies home with such monsters. Get the cameras before hiring a nanny, don't wait until you start suspecting something is wrong. Better yet, if possible get one that live streams to your phone.

There is no excuse for what she has done"attempted Murder" on an innocent child.She must be punished.I do not know under what circumstances she was compelled to do that but it has happened.And that's bad enough.However, to deter these kind of criminal behavior, it behooves us to attempt to find out WHY.
My opinion is that the maid was being mistreated by the boss,and this is was a way of evening the score.Please note that I dont condone what she did.But you have to agree that there are some employers who treat maids like subhuman being. Yes we complain about our sisters being mistreated in the Arab would,which of course we should,but let's also look into the same thing happening in our own backyard.
I also opine that she may have a mental problem.Who in their right mind does something like that to an innocent child,or for that matter another human being.Much less to aman's best friend-adog.? My two cents.

Have you had any house managers? Let me whisper to you something; it is extremely difficult to find a good one. We used to joke that maids were birthed by one woman - similar vitukos. I have lived their nightmares from my father’s house to other relatives. It got to a point where if a maid is honest but dirty, it was ok. Most are not treated badly but come from dodgy backgrounds and do not easily adjust to honest, transparent good living. We had one good housemanager from Uganda; she was with my family from 1981 to 1995. This lady ran the household like the woman of the house, yes...all the freedom. To a point where my bro thought she was his mom. Whatever “aunty” said was law. We called all our minders aunty. And whatever they made/gave us, we took and appreciated. My parents paid for it of course. It was hell from 1995 to 2000. In 2000 onwards we had one who came with rules: I do not vacuum, polish tiles, prep chapo or fish etc. This woman was only responsible for two elementary boys because the rest of us did our shiet. And the govt was paying her plus overtime! She was making more than primo teachers. This one we had to teach a lesson; refused to help her whatsoever, intentionally. Zero. Before her: One was a prostitute; came from school found cops/CID at gate looking for her. Another impregnated by the guard; while sharing our clothes and underwear. We lived on quick-fried managu for one year and rice as she was courted by watchie. One was stealing my clothes and money; evidence was photo man coming with her images in my clothes. And one stole credit cards and clothes from our dying aunt. Africans; we have Wivu. These maids are just evil. That’s it.

I concede that I have never had a house manager,but my parents had relatives who help out.They stayed with us and pretty much treated us as family should be treated.
However you will agree with me that there are some employers who treat their help very badly.You mention that some have bad attitudes,and manners,well why would you hire someone like that anyway? I dont believe that they all come like that.
Finally, you get what you pay for,unfortunately.

Pure evil! The truth of the matter is that one cannot trust anyone anymore. I once came home from work having left my three year (then) home with a close relative. I was astonished when my child, in response to a command from me, shouted across: "shindwe!". Where on earth could he have learnt this when I don't use it. I couldn't get rid of her quick enough! Not everyone celebrates you.

The reactions here are symptomatic of a tone-deaf culture that refuses to be self reflective. Nothing here is being said about depression, or education, or possible injustices at this home and her home. These reactions do not help question systemic issues revolving around mistreatment, fair pay, employment protections, or medical care for the poor. This is probably an act of revenge.
You're really gonna blame a very poor person for acting inhumanely? We need to talk. For real.
