DP Ruto Vows to Name and Shame Gov’t Officials Fighting Him

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday threatened to name and shame government officials who are being used to undermine him and blackmail leaders allied to him.
Ruto, who spoke during a church function in Meru County, accused unnamed civil servants of using the criminal justice system to threaten some Governors, MPs, and MCAs into withdrawing their support for him.
"We live in a democratic nation as Kenya and citizens, leaders, public officers should have the opportunity to make choices that they have decided on their own.”
"To try and use the criminal justice system to perpetuate a certain political agenda or narrative is in itself criminal. I want to say for the avoidance of doubt, leaders in Kenya today, MPs and MCAs are being treated to intimidation, blackmail, threats that they will be taken to this court or that court because of their political affiliation. When did Kenya sink that low?" Ruto posed.
A visibly infuriated Ruto vowed to call out the specific government officials behind the scheme if they fail to shun the behavior.
"These public servants in our offices should work in accordance with what their job description is. They should not be using the criminal justice system to try and achieve political ends to intimidate, blackmail and intimidate people that this will happen and that will happen.”
"I am the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, elected by the people of Kenya. And I have no apologies to make to anybody. I want to tell those public officers using those offices that soon, very soon, we will call them out. They must stop the nonsense they are engaged in making telephone calls to leaders, blackmailing people left, right and center," Ruto asserted.
Ruto spoke after a section of leaders supporting him including Meru Senator Mithika Linturi, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and his Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah claimed they were receiving threatening phone calls from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Revenue Authority, the Ethics, and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Judiciary.

Boy Ruto, when did Kenya sink so low to a point of you murdering your own guard, Kenei to cover up a criminal firearms scam?
Ruto said he is not mentally mad, but by the look of the issues he is now obsessed about, he is gone completely berserk. .
We are tired of your obsessed fascination with becoming a president to a point of killing others. Stop fooling Kenyans by talking too much nonsense about people fighting you.
People are fighting you because they have become tired of your maddening obsession to become your own president so you can continue stealing from the coffers!
Naming the civil servants will not stop them from making sure that you will never become the president of the Republic of Kenya. You got no power to punish them!

@DPruto - the chilling gruesome killing of Kenei, a guard who protected you with strict obedience, trust, honor, and dignity should make you as the country’s second in command allow the Kenei’s family 40 days of silence to grief as it is required in the Kalenjin culture!
You have been making a lot of self serving noise poking holes in the murder investigations without any regard to Kenei’s grieving parents, wife, two young children and close relatives! This sad moment is about those who are mourning the dead son. It is not about Ruto and your political future!
Ruto - the way you have disrespectfully handled Kenei’s murder with non-stop political side shows, gimmicks, and callous utterances leaves everyone thinking that you had a role to play in your guard’s murder to cover up the firearms scam deal that was sealed in your own Harambee Annex Office by your very close friend, Echesa.
You can do Kenei’s family a favor by stopping your run-away calculating comments which seems to bring you right in the center of Kenei’s murder.
Let the DCI do a thorough investigation so that all Kenyans can know who killed Kenei, the Deputy President’s guard. Your constant talking will not wish Kenei death away to give you some short lived borrowed peace. Ruto, stop talking immediately to give the DCI investigations a much needed space!

No one has mentioned DP Ruto as the suspect in the murder of Kenei. Even the DCI has not said Ruto is a suspect.
Why is Ruto so worried about the murder of Kenei? Ruto should keep quiet to allow smooth investigations to take place.
No one is really concerned about who is keeping Ruto away from becoming the next president in 2022 right now. Ruto himself have regularly said he may not run for presidency.
All we want is to find out who killed Ruto’s guard, the late Kenei.

Ruto is talking too much too late. The train has already left the Station at a high speed, and he does not know how to stop it before it arrives to the pre-planned destination.
His naming of the conductors of the train will have no meaningful effect on the speed at which the train is moving. It will just make the train arrive at the intended point much faster.

There is no shame in naming the thief. You are a mortal danger to Kenya.
