DJ Shot by MP Babu Owino Develops Health Complications

Felix Orinda, alias DJ Evolve, who was shot on the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on January 17th, has reportedly developed complications.

Orinda is presently hospitalized at The Nairobi Hospital’s ICU wing after he underwent two successful surgeries to remove a blood clot as well as a bullet that was lodged in his neck.

He was scheduled for a third surgery on January 20th to realign his upper spine but it was stopped after he allegedly developed trachea complications, according to one of his closest friends Mike Lukulu.

“The surgery to realign his upper spine that was scheduled to take place on Monday was put on hold after Felix suddenly developed tracheostomy (trachea) complications,” Lukulu posted on social media.

He further disclosed that doctors were forced to perform tracheal surgery before the Chiropractic one.

“The lead surgeon has thus recommended for a tracheal surgery prior to the chiropractic adjustment (spine surgery) taking place. Jesus is at the wheel. All will be well,” he added.

Babu, who is still in remand pending a ruling on his bail application, shot and wounded Orinda at B-Club in Nairobi’s Kilimani area on the morning of January 17th. Babu’s lawyer Cliff Ombeta said the MP had paid over KSh600,000 for Orinda’s treatment.

Babu should add more money. Ksh600,000 is small amount compared to what he did to this guy. All the complications this guy is facing and what awaits him in future IF he survives this ordeal. We are talking of at least ksh10Million.

Ati he developed what? Tracheostomy is a procedure, not a condition......or am I missing something..... The complication, ???breathing?? might have led to that procedure.

You are correct tracheostomy is a procedure usually done in ICU for intubated and vented patients. This is not right at all... this fool babu should pay for everything. And be locked up for life.. the use of lethal force was so uncalled for and this fool needs to be in solitary confinement somewhere in kamiti so that he can reflect on how he has totally messed up a 20 year old kid. He will be bedridden in diapers with bad quality of life..

So sad a young man has to suffer this much because of the mindless actions of Babu, a “law maker!”

Justice must appear to be done!
