Kenyan Tycoon Chris Kirubi Says He was Cured of Cancer

Kenyan billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi has finally confirmed that he has been battling with cancer.

Kirubi was first flown to the United States for specialized treatment in November 2017 but details of what he was suffering from remained scanty.

News about his illness was first announced in November 2017 by Centum Chief Executive Officer James Mworia in a memo to Centum employees.

“Instead, Dr. Kirubi, whom I spent time with on Monday and saw off at the airport, and have spoken to on multiple occasions since, remains in good spirits and actively engaged in business matters in his usual endearing fashion,” Mworia said without mentioning what was ailing Kirubi.

Kirubi returned to the country in March 2018 after an extended medical trip abroad. During the period, photos of a frail-looking Kirubi were shared on social media but subsequent images showed the industrialist’s health status had improved.

In an undated video posted on Facebook by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday, Kirubi says he was cured of cancer after treatment.

The tycoon adds that people should see him as a reminder that cancer can be cured if discovered at the early stages.

Kirubi, who explains that it is hard to manage stage three and four cancers, urges people to have frequent screening for the deadly disease. He did not divulge the type of cancer he was suffering from.

Happy for him, but, majority of cancer affected patients in Kenya don’t have the resources to fly for specialized treatments out of the country like Kirubi.

The cancer====>cure without revealing anything in between does not and will not help anybody. Better just keep your mouth shut.

With the billions kirubi has n other rich kenyans they can easily build a cancer hospital m equip it for the poor kenyans who can not afford to fly out for treatment to faindika.Sisi nyeusi we don't know how to give back to the society/community.Tunataka tu kukula pesa alone.White pple knows how to give back to the society.I know kirubi has build malls which create jobs for kenyans which is good but i guess investing in hospitals could b a plus juu our health comes first.

Cancer is not malaria that can be confirmed cured in a week. It takes years to be sure, Cancer is complicated.

Happy for him. Cancer is CURABLE, when caught early. And it doesn't know about money, so don't talk about his billions here. He is a human being, and he is cured. I am happy for him, because I have never heard that he has mistreated anyone.

Ewella. Habari njema, msisimko mpya Bw Kirubi. Inakupasa sasa ufuatilie kwa utaratibu maagizo ya daktari kikamilifu. Kwani, saratani ni nyangume anayeweza kuchipuka tena kwa ghadhabu na kishindo kikuu.
