President Uhuru Extends Huduma Namba Registration Period, Deadline for Diaspora Remains June 20th

President Kenyatta has ordered extension of Huduma Namba registration period by one more week.
In a statement sent to the media on Friday, Kenyatta said the registration drive will now end on May 25th at 6 pm.
Uhuru has explained that the decision to extend the period has been informed by the long queues witnessed in the Huduma Namba registration centers across the country.
"I have observed with concern the long queues formed during these final days of the exercise in different parts of the country. It brings to the fore an ingrained last-minute rush habit that holds us back."
"Nevertheless, Kenyans are determined to register for their Huduma Namba and I have obliged to the numerous requests to give them an opportunity to do so," says Uhuru.
"I have directed the National Inter-ministerial Committee for implementation of this program to extend the registration period for another 1 week."
The registration deadline for Kenyans living and working abroad remains June 20th.
"The Diaspora mass registration exercise which started on May 6th, 2019 will continue throughout all our missions globally and shall close on 20th June 2019."
"I encourage each and every Kenyan to become a part of this momentous change that will help to positively transform Government delivery services for the benefit of all Citizens," Kenyatta adds.
At the same time, Uhuru has announced that 35 million Kenyans have already been listed in the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS).

I totally agree with you. Whats the worst that can happen? they can not deny you passport, you are not not getting huduma and most of it all you cant vote while abroad. You remember this same president signed an agreement that the remittance sent by diaspora folks would be taxed? are they aiming to sell our identities to foreign governments? Yaani some foolishness is not worth debates., you have pin, you have an id, you have old passport now huduma number and how secure is that number with all your information? they will sell it and make you disappear like miguna miguna
