Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Arrested for Defrauding Businessman of Sh3.6 Million
Controversial televangelist James Maina Ng'ang'a spent Thursday night at Central Police Station in Nairobi.
The Neno Evangelism preacher was arrested at his home in Nairobi on Thursday evening for allegedly defrauding a businessman of Sh3.6 million.
Pastor Ng'ang'a has been released on Friday morning on a police bond and is set to appear in court later in the day.
Last month, the clergyman was arrested and charged with threatening to kill Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.
This came after he released a video warning Kaikai that he would face unknown consequences for suggesting that the government should regulate the church and tame rogue preachers.
He was also charged with incitement to violence and was released on Sh200,000 cash bail or Sh300,000 bond after denying the charges.
"Wewe kijana wachana na mambo zako… na kama umeingia laini ya Pastor Ng’ang’a, my friend you will face the consequences…wewe utakimbia tu (Young man, stop your nonsense. If you’ve decided to cross Pastor Ng’ang’a’s line, my friend you will face the consequences. You will have to run),” the preacher tells Kaikai in the viral video.
“Separate preaching na hii sarakasi za news anchor, nakwambia tu kijana. I am telling you like a Chief General Commander, you have to stop that, if you don’t stop you will face the consequences…” adds Pastor Ng’ang’a.

Matapeli wa makanisa na misikiti nao pia huwadanganya wafuasi kondoo (blind followers) ya kwamba, utakapokufa, utakwenda mbinguni au jahannamu (hell) ikiwa ulikuwa mtu mbaya. Hadithi hizi za Santa Klausi na Jahannamu ni hadithi ambazo msingi wake ni "UONGO."
Tapeli/Jambazi Ng'ang'a yafaa akatazwe kuwanyanyasa (harass) walio wanyonge kwa kuwaibia pesa zao huku akiwadanganya ya kwamba yeye ni "balozi" wa MWUMBAJI MKUU hapa duniani.

@Godhavemercy, well said. Most of those con artists called pastors/bishop/apostles or whatever they call themselves tells their members to give them 10% of their GROSS income. Where is nowhere in the Bible that says you give give 10% of your NET income or GROSS income. The people in the Bible times did not have bills like we have. They walked instead of driving like us thus did not pay car note, auto insurance, auto repair etc. Most of them were farmers and owned their farm houses that means they did not have pay rent or mortgage. They did not have heating bill, telephone and electricity. They do not tell their members that our lifestyle is very different from those who lived during Bible time.

Ndugu @Njai: Asante sana kwa maneno yako ya kweli. Tunahitaji watu wanaofikiria kama wewe na wengine kama @Godhavemercy mpaka Matapeli na majambazi wa makanisa na misikiti waamke na kubomoa makanisa yao na misikiti yao ya bandia (fake institutions of worship) na kwenda shambani kulima kama wananchi wengine.
Makanisa na misikiti yafaa yageuzwe na kufanywa vyuo vya kuwafundishia vijana mambo ya teknolojia ili wasaidie kujenga taifa baada ya kujifunza masomo yanayowawezesha kupata kazi baada ya kumaliza masomo yao.
