Man Lays Fresh Claim to Late Cabinet Minister George Saitoti's Son, Wants His Body Exhumed for DNA Test

A man has once again laid claim of late Cabinet Minister Prof. George Saitoti’s only son, Zachary Musengi.

The man identified as Sebastian Maina Ngunju claims that he is the biological father of Musengi, who is known to be the son of the late Saitoti.

Ngunju says that his son was abducted 24 years ago from his home in Subukia, Nakuru County and maintains that Musengi is the kidnapped son.

He wants the remains of the former Vice President, who passed away six years ago in a plane crash, exhumed for a DNA test to be conducted.

“My third born child was kidnapped and after 24 years, I found the boy at the late Saitoti’s home. When he was stolen they changed his name,” Njugu says.

The man says he hopes the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) will help him get justice against Saitoti's family for abducting his son.

“I have hope in the office of the DCI and that of the DPP and I’m sure they will help me get justice,” he says.

Njugu first came out after Saitoti's death in 2012 and was ordered by the court not to speak on the matter again after the case was closed in 2013 after a probe allegedly established that Musengi was not his son.

He says he has been silent on the matter because he has been consulting local and international human rights organizations on how to approach the case.

@Mukanganga,there is a reason why exhuming the body is necessary even though dna from the exisying relatives could be used. For paternity tests dna from the parent is more reliable

Maxiley I think Mucang'ang'a is Very right. The only thing needed here is Maina's DNA (not Saitoti's) and Musengi's DNA. Meaning: Maina's request to Exhume Saitoti's body (for DNA testing) looks Mischievous, Sinister, Miscalculated, or just DUMB and Waste of (a no-Brainer's) Precious time.
Note: If Maina's DNA vs Musengi's ends up NOT aggreeing, then Musengi belongs to the late Saitoti or another man somewhere (minus Maina).

What are they hiding do DNA test? Did anybody ever see Mrs Saitoti pregnant and where did she go for her prenatal & postnatal clinic?

He is a grown man and of legal age and you can directly request him to get a DNA. at this point you sound insane and may need psychiatric evaluation.

Maxiley, I think you misunderstood what mucanganga meant. I understand he means the man could request his alleged son's DNA against his own. Saitoti's not strictly needed. The whole saga's a bit off...they need to shut it down and let poor Saitoti rest in peace.

DNA testing is ablessing and a curse. How many men have gone to the graves believing that the kids they sired were theirs? And of course DNA testing,or paternity testing come in to question only when someone raises an issue. But when things are running smoothly, only the mother knows for sure who the baby dady is,save for occasions when she is messing around with more than one person in the window of conception. And that's why the bible probably says that"do not covert thy neighbor's wife."

Just being curious. What will happen if the DNA of Musengi matches Sebastian Maina Ngunju? Will they jail Mrs Saitoti for stealing a child? Will Musengi be handed over to Mr Maina? Will Musengi adjust to Sumbukia life and life of common Wanjikus?

someone explain Maina that to proof this man is his son, he needs his blood and musengi's but not saitoti's . it is understandable for him to know if indeed his son was stolen BUT how will Musengi react if indeed his DNA test proofs he is indeed Maina's son. it is a dilemma
