Bishop Margret Wanjiru Wants Sonko to Name Her as Running Mate in Nairobi Governor Race

Former Starehe Member of Parliament Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has asked Nairobi senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko to name her as his running mate, adding that she is best suit for the position.

Wanjiru says she has had the much-needed experience in politics and that her mobilization skill makes her the suitable candidate to help Sonko remove ODM’s Evans Kidero from power.

"If it is about money, we already have enough for a serious campaign. He should also consider gender, church, grassroots networking and mobilization ability. I think I will add value to his government, both technically and politically,” stated Wanjiru.

Wanjiru asked Sonko not to ditch members of "Team Nairobi" who worked hard to ensure that Peter Kenneth did not clinch the Jubilee ticket for Nairobi Governor, saying that Sonko’s victory was as a result of the unity the team exhibited.

“Team Nairobi should stick together in order to deliver Nairobi. I believe Sonko’s victory can largely be attributed to the teamwork we exhibited during our familiarization campaigns with voters,” said Wanjiru.
