Kenyan Presidential Race Attracts New Entrant Pete Ondeng, Says He's the Alternative Choice

The 2017 presidential race has a new entrant, joining President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga.

Pete Ondeng', the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lead Africa Foundation, announced the news on his twitter account that he will be seeking to occupy the highest office in the land under Restore and Build Kenya (RBK) ticket.

Ondeng says he will be the third force which will be an alternative choice and the new voice that Kenya has missed for long. ”So, here we go. This is the third horse in a 3 horse race; the alternative choice; The new voice. The spanner in the works” he posted.

Before joining the race, Ondeng served as the President of Eastern Africa Secretariat for New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD). He has previously worked as the head of Faulu Kenya and boasts of over 30 years of global experience in business, government, and the non-profit sectors.

He is also a motivational speaker and a trainer and has authored two books; How to Start Your Own Small Business and Africa’s Moment.

Ondeng will now be facing President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee Party and National Super Alliance’s Raila Odinga in the August 8 elections.
