Kenyan comedian George Maina, well known as "Njoro" in the Churchill Comedy show will be gracing a peace concert organized by Kenyans living in the United States.
The entertainer is among a number of guests invited to host the event to be held in Long Beach,California. Dubbed Amani Food festival, the concert aims at promoting peace among Kenyans living in the diaspora, particularly in the US.
The event also aims at bringing Kenyans in abroad together at a time when the country is witnessing tightened political temperatures ahead of next Thursday's repeat presidential election.
During the concert, Kenyans from diverse ethnic groups will showcase their bring delicacies and dine together with fellow countrymen as they exchange ideas and thoughts.
Amani Food Festival is an event held annually and was founded by Steven Mbugua, a Kenyan living in the US.
This year’s event is scheduled for October 21st, with Kenya Consulate General in Los Angeles and Eddy Toto Gear being the main sponsors.
