National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga says that Deputy President William Ruto was the mastermind of the 2007 'nusu mkate' government.
Speaking during a rally at Mama Ngina drive in Mombasa on Sunday, the former Prime Minister said that Ruto is now accusing him of pushing for shared government yet he (Ruto) is was the one who proposed that Raila and former President Mwai Kibaki share power.
"Ruto was among those who represented ODM in the talks with their PNU counterparts," he said.
"Ruto was the one negotiating for us in 2007, he was with Sally Kosgei, James Orengo among others. He came and told me we accept the coalition government, " Raila said.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader maintained he is not interested in a coalition government with President Uhuru.
"We are not interested in a nusu mkate (half loaf of bread)...forget about it...we are the owners of the full bread," he said
He insisted that there will be no elections on October 26th without reforms. Raila was speaking for the first time since his trip to the United Kingdom.
