Washington, DC - Lawmakers working to craft a new comprehensive immigration bill have settled on a way to prevent employers from hiring illegal immigrants: a national biometric identification card all American workers would eventually be required to obtain.

Under the potentially controversial plan still taking shape in the Senate, all legal U.S. workers, including citizens and immigrants, would be issued an ID card with embedded information, such as fingerprints, to tie the card to the worker.

Nairobi, Kenya - President Kibaki has barred Cabinet Ministers and their assistants from travelling outside Kenya to ensure they attend parliamentary debates on the draft Constitution.

The House is supposed to debate contents of the draft for 30 days after which it would be published and subjected to a national referendum.

A circular dated last Friday and released by the Government on Monday indicated the step was taken to ensure ministers attended the House sessions.

Nairobi, Kenya - Former KTN anchor Esther Arunga plans to sue her parents and a psychiatrist for allegedly incarcerating her.

Ms Arunga also announced she was joined to Quincy Timberlake in a civil marriage. Quincy is in jail.

"You can marry someone who is still in jail. Let it be known I have changed my name to Esther Adongo Timberlake," she said.

Addressing a Press conference Thursday, Arunga said she would seek Sh300 million from her parents and Dr Frank Njenga, who she alleged attended to her.

The Late Eric Murimi Njau

Eric Njau Murimi, 31, passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2010 in Norcross, GA. He was born September 29, 1978 in Nairobi, Kenya, the son of Elliot and Rose Murimi. Eric came to the United States in 1999 and through hard work became a very successful manager with the British Petroleum Company.

Eric attended Muhoho high school in Nairobi, Kenya and was a very active member of the Kenyan community in metro Atlanta, GA.

The Hague, Netherlands - International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo whose searchlight is trained on prime suspects of Kenya’s post-election violence will on Wednesday make them known by name to the ICC pre-trial Chamber.

Mr Moreno-Ocampo, who has made no secret he is itching to make Kenya an example to the world on the ills of impunity, is expected to divulge the names of individuals to be probed and the specific crimes he wants them charged with.
