Machaji na Manyonyois Buys Huge US Property, Set to Launch Trucking Business
US-based TikTok creator Malcom, known online as Machaji na Manyonyois, has purchased a large parcel of land in the United States to establish a trucking business.
Malcom said the property will serve as the base for a company he has long planned to build. The move signals a shift away from his earlier intention to enter politics in Kenya.
He had previously announced plans to return to contest the Eldama Ravine parliamentary seat in Baringo County in the 2025 elections as an independent candidate. He argued that running without party affiliation would allow him to represent constituents without political bias.
His announcement received mixed reactions, with some supporting his ambition and others pointing to the financial and ethnic dynamics that shape Kenyan politics. His recent investment indicates a change in priorities towards business.
In a video shared online, Malcom expressed enthusiasm about the project and outlined his plans for the site. He said the land is large enough to accommodate his trucks and will include mechanical facilities.
He added that the purchase was made possible through personal connections with the previous owner’s family. He also indicated that existing structures, including a nursery building, may be redeveloped for business use.
The announcement prompted messages of support from followers on social media. Many praised his progress and described his achievement as encouraging. Some framed his success as a source of inspiration, while others offered congratulatory and religious messages recognising his efforts.
Malcom’s journey to the United States involved several stages. He previously worked in Qatar in laundry services before travelling to Singapore and Malaysia. He later volunteered in Rwanda as an English tutor with an American organisation, which helped him expand his network and support his visa application.
After arriving in the United States, he extended his stay through church-based volunteering and legal assistance, eventually securing permanent residency and moving into the trucking industry. He now uses his TikTok platform to share personal updates and provide guidance on migration.
