Raila Odinga’s daughter Rosemary Odinga will not be contesting the Kibra parliamentary seat.

Although Rosemary has not publicly announced her withdrawal from the race, her name was left out of the list of aspirants for nomination that ODM published on Wednesday.

She is currently recovering at a South African medical facility after undergoing brain surgery in early March to remove a brain tumor. Shad had been hospitalized at Nairobi Hospital since February 19th before traveling to South Africa for the surgery.

Rosemary had expressed interest in the seat currently occupied by Ken Okoth.
