61-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Guesthouse

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 61-year-old man in a guesthouse located in Bondo Town, Siaya County.

The individual, identified as Nicholas Ogol, was discovered deceased by the staff of the guesthouse on Tuesday morning. At this time, the cause of death remains unknown and is under investigation by the police. The caretaker of the guesthouse reported to the authorities that an elderly man had been found dead in one of the rooms.

Upon examining the scene, the police determined that the man had checked into the guesthouse alone on Monday at 8:00 pm, and his body was not discovered until the following day at approximately 10:30 am. During the investigation, a set of tablets was found in the man's pockets. As a result, the body has been transferred to the mortuary while awaiting an autopsy.

In a separate incident in Nairobi's Ruaraka area, a man was discovered deceased in a lodging in what is suspected to be a suicide case. The body was found on Tuesday morning by a cleaner who had entered the room to perform cleaning duties. The deceased has been identified as Nyandomo Nyabigo, a 39-year-old male who had checked into the lodging by himself on Monday night. Police have indicated that the deceased may have utilized a specific type of pesticide to harm himself, although this remains speculative. The motive behind the action remains unknown, and authorities have transferred the body to the mortuary for further examination and inquiry.

Also on Tuesday, police discovered the lifeless body of a female university student at her boyfriend's rented residence in Katoloni estate, Machakos. Emmanuel Okanda, the police commander of Machakos subcounty, revealed that the deceased was pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree at the university before her untimely passing. The boyfriend is also a student at the same institution.

According to Okanda, blood was flowing from the woman's ears and nose as her body was being moved from the residence. He mentioned that initial inquiries indicated that the woman was killed on Monday evening. Two individuals, including the boyfriend, have been apprehended at Machakos police station.
