Raila Returns to Kenya After a Week-long UK Tour

ODM leader Raila Odinga has returned to the country after a week-long tour of the United Kingdom. Odinga landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Tuesday and was received by leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja coalition.

He is now expected to resume his presidential campaigns across the country, starting with a tour of the Rift Valley region at the end of the week.

Odinga, 77, left for the UK on March 13th, a day after he was endorsed and unveiled as the presidential flagbearer for the Azimio La Umoja coalition that brings together more than 22 political parties, among them ODM, Jubilee, Wiper and Kanu.

During his tour in the UK, Odinga highlighted his agenda for Kenya and the reforms he will deliver should he ascend to power later this year.

He met the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and gave an address at the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House).

Odinga was accompanied by governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa), COTU secretary-general Francis Atwoli, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Siaya Senator James Orengo and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.

ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna and Kieni MP Kanini Kega have been leading Azimio La Umoja campaigns when Odinga was away.

Odinga, who has received the backing of President Kenyatta, is giving his fifth stab at the presidency in the forthcoming elections.

Baba, while you were away, Moses Kuria reinforced what many in Kenya believe; he is insane. Since your winning the presidency is a foregone conclusion, we urge you to spend heavily on mental health issues. Thank you.

@MakOnyango, I can't agree with you more. Just like you, I have always thought that Baba has mental health issues. How else do we explain his 1982 coup attempt? Thousands of Kenya Airforce men, many of them Lous were hanged by Moi because of Raila. His crazy daily mass demos had goons running crazy in the streets of Nairobi looting shops, beating motorists and burning vehicles-claiming that they were going to dislodge IEBC officials and their offices. Very violent man! Many innocent people have died during his past campaigns- he had Kikuyus burnt alive in a house of God-a church! And how else do you explain a man who gets scared shit of a presidential election that Maraga gifted him. And when duly elected president is sworn in by a justice of supreme court, as per the constitution, this man Raila swears himself in as president. His own ODM party cannot hold internal elections without bloodshed (men in black-an ODM-ON-ODM crime) Great observation @MakOnyango- Baba has mental health issues. He needs help- a such, he cannot be president of anything.

MakOnyango! You got that One right. If Raila fought Off and Survived many Years of Physical and Mental Torture he Suffered in the Hands of the now gone Moi (in Nyayo House), he is the Epitome of an Overcomer; Better in a Position to Help people Prevent or Deal with Mental issues that Bedevil many Kenyans (Rich or Poor, Kikuyu or Luo, Educated or Uneducated, Village or Urban, Black or White).

Baba is not worried about Moses Kuria whose brains are classified with the chicken. Kuria takes all the cut skin home to cook them for his dinner. No wonder his brains have a very short fuse.
