Treasury CS Ukur Yatani Denies Son was Arrested at JKIA Carrying $4 Million
Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani has rubbished claims that one of his sons was recently arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Reports circulated on social media by a section of bloggers alleged that Yatani’s son Ibrae was apprehended at the airport on Friday for carrying huge sums of money.
It was alleged that Ibrae was en route to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying four million US dollars in cash.
But in a statement on Sunday, Yatani termed the reports as malicious, saying that they were designed to malign his family's reputation. He also threatened to take legal actions against the bloggers behind the fake news.
"The social media reports by Alai and Nyakundi that one of my sons was arrested at the airport is false, malicious, and utter nonsense.”
“It’s sad to note the extent heartless individuals can go to besmirch an innocent family’s reputation to achieve an end. We shall meet with them in court," Yatani stated.

Wakati mwingine alikuwa makanisani (siyo misikitini au hekaluni) akiwahonga makasisi bandia ili wafuasi wa makanisa hayo wampigie kura ya kuwa rais 2022.

If he was all they had to do is bribe with kafifty and the matter is closed . so no evidence.No 4 m to dubai. Once a brother of former governor "ndegwa " was exchanging insults with his friend. And the friend told him that he got his wealth from those KSHS 5 notes which are returned for destruction and replaced with new notes . No according to the friend whose name was Mugambi ( deceased ) the to be destroyed notes were not destroyed but instead put back to the system and on their return to CBK, replaced again but this time the replacement banked the brother's account. An old buddy of the 2 told me this . how true it is only them who know

Such information is not hard to verify.So make your pick.Either The blogger is lying or the father is.However, I find it had to believe that the blogger woke up and picked on Yatani's son,for no reason.What would be the motive. He is not they only CS in Kenya,or rich and influencial for that matter. My pick,the story it true.Why is the son silent,is he a minor for the father to speak for him...?
