Tom Mboya’s Daughter Rosemary Alakie Appeals for Funds for Cancer Treatment

Rosemary Alakie, the daughter of the late Kenyan cabinet minister Tom Mboya has appealed for help to settle medical expenses.

Rosemary, who has been battling breast cancer for the past four years, says the ailment has drained her emotionally, physically, and financially.

She is appealing for financial assistance to enable her to pay for her chemotherapy sessions.

“Tom Mboya’s firstborn child, Rosemary Alakie, has been unwell for four years because of cancer. Any prolonged period of sickness can be draining both emotionally, physically, and financially. That’s why she is appealing for assistance to enable her complete chemotherapy sessions,” the medical appeal reads in part.

Well-wishers can send their contributions through MPesa paybill number 8041905 and use their names as account name.

Rosemary is the first-born daughter of Mboya, who was assassinated on July 5th, 1969 aged 36 years. He was shot dead in Nairobi CBD by unknown assailants after visiting a pharmacy on Government Road, now Moi Avenue.

Mboya served as the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs as well as Economic Planning and Development.

He left behind his wife Pamela and five children.

How about if all Mpigs in a show of solidarity toward one of their own who was brutally murdered lead the campaign to fund her medical bills.I suggest that they donate 10% of their salary toward this worthy cause. And then challenge wananchi to follow suit.

I think UHURU KENYATTA should pay based on the fact that JOMO killed MBOYA...
This lady grew up without a father.
UHURU had JOMO. UHURU needs to clean his father's mess.

My friend, Kenyatta had nothing to gain by killing Mboya. There was no way Kenyatta was going to stand without Mboya. Remember Mboya wrote the Constitution that brought independence. It took about 20 years and a lot of Raila's energy to rewrite it. Mboya crafted the Limuru Conference that divided up the KANU Vice Presidency into eight provincial vice-presidential offices; making it impossible for Jaramogi to ever become the President.
If you add 2+2, you could guess who would kill Mboya.
Some Kenyans are so loud when they want to put blame on others so that the look innocent.
