Kenya Gov't Orders All Civil Servants to Get COVID-19 Vaccine or Face Disciplinary Action

The government has issued a directive requiring all civil servants to get a COVID-19 vaccine by August 23rd.

Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua in a statement said civil servants who fail to get inoculated by the specified date will face disciplinary action.

Kinyua asked principal secretaries and accounting officers to ensure that the directive is fully implemented.

He noted that poor COVID-19 vaccination uptake among civil servants in key sectors such as security and education has negatively impacted public service delivery.

“In a recent NSAC meeting, it was reported that there was a low uptake of COVID-19 vaccines among public servants especially the security sector, teachers, and the core civil service,” the statement reads.

The statement added that some government employees have deliberately evaded taking the jab to avoid going to work under the excuse of working from home.

“It was also observed that some public servants have deliberately avoided getting vaccinated so that they can stay away from work under the guise of working from home,” the statement adds.

The Health Ministry has so far administered 1,804,375 jabs across the country of which 1,105,470 are first doses while second doses are 698,905.

Those who have been fully vaccinated include 214,722 persons aged 58 and above, 120,155 health workers, 102,007 teachers, and 56,219 security officers.

I still think many folks in Kenya are not yet taking COVID 19 seriously even after the virus have leveled the playing ground in killing Kenyans! The politicians are the worst offenders in doing the right things to protect others from COVID19.

The politicians who run around without wearing the face mask are the worst offenders because they show other Kenyans that they don’t have to wear the mask like them! They do not lead by setting up a good example!

I commend Uhuru for wearing the mask at all times! When Kenyans see the president wearing a face mask, they quickly get the message that COVID is real and it is not a joke! COVID 19 kills!

I wish I could say the same thing about Ruto who rarely wears a face mask! He feels he is too important to use such a devise to protect others. He has regularly failed to set a good example for others to follow! What you physically see speaks volumes!

Whoever does not want to get inoculated ni shauri yake! But, those who refuse the shot should not communicate COVID 19 plus to others who do not have access to the vaccination!

Many healthy people have died die refusing the shot and lacking the discipline wear mask! Those who are already inoculated should wear the mask in public. The delta brand of COVID 19 can catch both the vaccinated and those who are not vaccinated.

Wear the damn mask to protect yourself and others!! It is that simple!!

I have noticed most politicians are out there running their mouth without wearing the mask! Are all of them vaccinated or they just don’t care about the common people they are spitting on ……?

For instant, DP Ruto and those around him never wear a mask in public. Why? Can they be forced to wear the mask whether vaccinated or not to protect the ordinary citizens of Kenya??

Politicians who aspire to lead others should always set a good example to the public!

How come Drunkard is forcing civil servants to be vaccinated while many people in Kiambu and Nairobi are being turned away by hospital staff?Vaccination is the only way to tame CORONA but they should vaccinate those who volunteered before you force others. Many deaths would have been avoided if jambazi Uhuru & Co elite gangsters did not loot the shs 218b. CORONA loans early this year.

Anyone holding public meetings where the participants are not wearing face masks (100%) should be arrested immediately. No politicians should be allowed to go to churches or any other places of worship and continue with their campaigns.
