Court Bars Media from Covering Child Upkeep Case Against Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka

A Nairobi court has barred the media from covering a child upkeep case against Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka.

Resident Magistrate F. Terer of Milimani law courts issued the order on Monday following an application filed by lawyer Danstan Omari.

Omari is representing a woman who sued Lusaka demanding Sh25 million in support for her unborn child.

“That a gag order is hereby issued to any print or electronic mass media in Kenya from accessing, publishing, airing, narrating or commenting the case in any newspaper, journal, weekly magazine and TV or radio show,” reads the order in part.

The matter is coming up for mention and further directions on Wednesday this week.

Early this month, Lusaka admitted to siring the applicant’s unborn child and agreed to cater to the baby’s pre-natal care and settle other issues once the infant is born.

The woman filed the case in June demanding child support of Sh200,000 monthly or a lump sum of Sh25 million from Lusaka.

She also wants Lusaka to buy her a house matching the standard of where his other children are living.

KEN MAN UP AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR BABY.
People meet get married and then divorce,
BUT YOU CANNOT DIVORCE YOUR KIDS FROM YOUR LIFE....PERIOD.

In almost every high profile litigation process same lawyer comes into the picture. Must be smiling all the way to the bank, as the bigfish never cease to have scandals.
